Batomon Showdown Events and Encounters
Scheduled shops with better verbs. Take the piece that finishes a merge or a trigger.
Events in Batomon Showdown are not story chapters. They are extra shops that skip gold gates. Normal event choices are scheduled before days 3, 6, and 9. Second Chance adds its own event the first time lives hit zero. Extended Mode has a late prep event before the continuation’s final stretch. If you treat every event as “take the rarest name,” you will arrive at day 5 with six tourists and 3-life losses. Pair this page with shop and merging and the 10-win guide.
The current catalog lists 12 events. Launch sets may add more. Until those cards exist, these are the encounters.
Timing
- Before day 3 / 6 / 9: pick the option that completes a recipe or a trigger you already understand. A level-2 Guardiant from Bug Collector beats a random Legendary you cannot place.
- Second Chance: you are on 1 life. Take the repair (copy, trinket, item uses, shared HP), then stop greeding. The next empty bar ends the run. Rules on how to play.
- Endless Boss Prep: only after a 10-win continuation is enabled. It is not a day-2 event. Extended does not pay extra ranked stars. Ranks.
Genius Inventor is gated behind five completed games in the current list. New profiles will not see it on run one. Do not hunt a wiki screenshot you have not unlocked.
The current roster, by job
Bodies. Bug Collector offers a bug you did not roll — official captures show a level-2 Guardiant, a buffed Gildshell, or a Brawlmantis with extra Multicast. Dragon Tamer and Dragons Nest skip dragon gold. Baby Basilisk is a delayed monster story, not a free carry.
Trinkets and items. Rainbow Berry, Meteor Crash, Dryad Statue, Pond Fairy, Professor Encounter, and Genius Inventor are “take a tool” screens. If you are a Shopkeeper / Berroon player, prefer extra uses and rank tools. If you are Chemist, prefer Poison. See items and trinkets and Poison builds.
Second Chance. The mysterious trainer’s line is a revive shop. Treat it like day 9 with 1 life: no Red Coin energy, no Mythical lottery unless the rest of the board already works.
Mad Scientist players should bias early events toward multicast that can survive the day-7 Legendary transform. Community notes still point at Bug Collector Brawlmantis with extra Multicast. That is a trainer line, not a general rule.
The embedded video is a large content drop session (ranked, endless, new trainers and items). Use it to see how event screens sit inside a real run. It is not a promise that every option in the clip still exists at the same gold.
How to decide in 20 seconds
- Read all three sentences out loud. Art is bait.
- Does this complete a 3-copy or 2-copy recipe? Prefer yes.
- Does this match the trainer gift (Bugs, Water, Fire, Toxic, items)? Prefer yes.
- Does the payoff arrive before the next 3-life day? Prefer yes.
- If two options pass, take the one your hover-highlight already likes. Controls.
Do not lock a future shop around an event you have not seen yet. Events are scheduled, not random every day, but the options inside the event are a draft. Bug Catcher still wants Bugs even if Bug Collector did not appear.
Launch week (September 15, 2026) is advertised with new events in the extra set. Season 0 is cosmetics and demo takedown, not a new event calendar. When a new encounter ships, we add a row here instead of pretending the 12-name list is eternal.
If the event is confusing, take gold or a copy of something you already own. Confusion is a 3-life tax after day 5. The comp list can wait until the board has a verb.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When do events appear?
Normally before days 3, 6, and 9, plus Second Chance when lives first hit zero. Extended has its own late prep event.
Should I always take the rarest option?
No. Take the option that finishes a merge or matches your trainer. Rarity without a trigger is a tourist.
Is Bug Collector the same as locking Bug Catcher?
No. Bug Catcher is the opening trainer. Bug Collector is a mid-run event that can gift a bug. See beginner trainers.
Does Second Chance give a full extra life pool?
It returns you to 1 life plus a reward event, once. The next depletion ends the run.
