Batomon Showdown Team Planner and Positioning Sheet

Print this page mentally. Batomon Showdown boards are two rows of three, plus a bench that does not fight. Many abilities care about adjacent, above, behind, or the same slot. If you only sort by rarity, Onsetra becomes a statue and Dryadell casts into empty grass. This planner is the pre-Battle ritual. Combat rules: combat. Cores: comps. Buttons: controls.

Slot map

Label your six team slots:

A1  A2  A3     (back row — “behind” if the board faces up)
B1  B2  B3     (front row)

Bench: four extra bodies that do not cast until dragged onto A/B. Events and eggs can sit in inventory without occupying a fight slot. Purple Egg is not a Water ally for Torrantler. Do not leave a merge copy on the bench when the recipe is ready; shop and merging is the reminder.

Adjacent means sharing a side, not a diagonal, unless a future card says otherwise. Above for Dryadell means the Grass unit in the slot toward the top of the team card (A-row if Dryadell is in B). Behind for Onsetra means the ally in the slot behind her facing direction — in practice, put the Ongoing unit in the slot Onsetra’s arrow actually names, then hover-highlight to confirm. If nothing glows, you guessed wrong. Guessing is free. Battle is not.

Core templates

Formiqueen Commons. Put Formiqueen in B2. Put Commons in B1 and B3 (and A2 if you need a third touch). Put Onsetra so Formiqueen is the “behind” ally. Bumblebolt wants to touch the queen for haste. Do not surround Formiqueen with Legendaries that do not count as Common.

Berroon items. Berroon can sit anywhere; her work is the next shop row. Craghorn can sit anywhere; his work is you clicking items. Dryadell sits under the Grass unit she should retrigger (Dryadell in B2, Grass in A2 is the simple version). Draconarch wants Start of Battle neighbors if you added her.

Plunderbird Water. Cluster Water. Torrantler in B2 with Plunderbird and Sirenade in B1/B3. Do not stack two Torrantler as the “adjacent Water” plan; the card excludes other Torrantler. Haste still helps Plunderbird print gold on cast.

Shock. Electric bodies plus whatever applies Shock. Ironcore adjacent to Electric. Battery Pack is an item, not a slot. Multicast units can sit wherever they still hit; extra casts are extra Shock procs. Full speech: Shock builds.

Pre-Battle checklist

1. Hover each unit. Write the trigger in one word.
2. Confirm every arrow has a legal target.
3. Confirm bench copies that should have merged are merged.
4. Confirm you still have lives for a loss at today’s cost (1 / 2 / 3). How to play.
5. Confirm you are not about to overwrite a ranked save by accident. Ranks.
6. Confirm Lock is either holding a real missing copy or is off.
7. Press Battle. Do not rearrange after search starts; you cannot.

If a fight looks “unlucky,” pause instead of Fast Forward and watch who actually casts. Post-battle stats will shame the pretty Legendary. Drag that lesson onto the next paper. The economy tool is the other sheet when the problem was gold, not slots.

Launch sets may add targeting words. Until they do, these four templates cover the Balance 14 engines that convert. If your trainer is Chef, draw Fire, not Formiqueen, unless the shop handed you both. The planner follows the lock from the trainer hub, not the other way around.
