Batomon Showdown Mythical and Legendary Spikes
Day-9 gifts, day-7 transforms, and the matchmaking rules that hide those boards from low ranks.
Mythical Batomon and Mythical items are the late headline of Batomon Showdown, not the opening shop. The catalog includes a Mythical that makes Mythical items appear and buffs allies as you spend those items. Gamer’s trainer card is blunt: gain a Mythical monster on day 9. Mad Scientist is the other spike, and it is a trap if you misread it: on day 7 the active team becomes random level-1 Legendaries. That is power with amnesia. This page explains how to reach those days alive, how matchmaking treats Mythical boards, and how not to waste duplicators. Pair it with the trainer guide and the 10-win guide.
Matchmaking will hide your homework
Outside Extended Mode, a run that has held a Mythical is withheld from pairing unless it is Ranked and you are Master. Boards with Dirgefin, Reapra, or Celestia are also withheld unless you are Master. If a candidate contains a Mythical you personally have not encountered, the game can roll up to two alternatives before it is allowed to serve one. That is why a friend in Master posts a 30-win Mythical clip and your Gold queue never shows the same nightmare. You are not crazy. The rules on how to play are doing that on purpose.
Casual and lower ranked tiers can also receive softened snapshots: smaller permanent buffs, stripped trinkets, omitted Basilord. Softening fades through Platinum and is off in Diamond and Master. When you finally see a full Mythical board, you should already have a core, not a zoo. The comp list still matters; a Mythical is a multiplier, not a strategy.
Gamer: survive until day 9
Gamer is a delayed paycheck. Days 1–8 must be a real engine: merges, a status, or a Formiqueen/Berroon/Plunderbird plan. If you arrive at day 9 with 3 lives and six scattered units, the Mythical is a participation trophy. Spend Youngster-style rerolls (if you copied them later via Masked Man) on copies, not on previewing every Super Rare. Lock item uses for the day you receive the gift; Shopkeeper plus Membership Card is the greedy version of that plan.
When the Mythical arrives, read it like a new trainer. If it wants Mythical items, your remaining gold is for those items, not for a seventh body you cannot field. If it is a combat unit, park it on the trigger it actually has. Hover-highlight from controls will tell you whether anyone on the board cares. If nobody lights up, you bought a poster.
Mad Scientist: the multicast Brawlmantis line
Community notes on Mad Scientist day-2 events are consistent: take Brawlmantis with multicast when the event offers it, because multicast can transfer into the later random Legendary. That is a real line, not flavor. The rest of the team should be cheap, because day 7 deletes their identities. Do not merge a beautiful level-3 Grass wall that you cannot bear to lose. After the transform, you have level-1 Legendaries with leftover trinkets. Rebuild adjacency. Spend gold. This is closer to a new run than to a payoff.
Egg Breeder is a cousin, not a Mythical trainer: a Purple Egg hatches into a Super Rare after four days. Play it as a delayed Super Rare, not as Gamer. Masked Man can copy Gamer or Mad Scientist later, which is how people accidentally mix two late spikes and die on day 6 with empty lives. Copy an economy trainer first if your lives are already red.
Duplicators, unique trinkets, Extended
Mini, Mega, and Ultra Duplicator only copy non-unique trinkets after the late-summer patch. Unique pieces will not clone. If your Mythical plan needed three copies of a unique crown, the patch already said no. Upgrade Disc activates once per buy even if you stacked discs. Echo Bell only helps 0-cost items. These are the unglamorous rules that decide whether a 20-minute bag still works. Confirm on patch notes.
Extended Mode is where 30-win clips come from. It continues a finished 10-win board until day 40 or death, does not pay extra ranked stars, and can draw unssoftened boards including Mythical ones. Enable it in Settings after your first championship. Do not enter Extended on 1 life unless the Second Chance event just rebuilt the engine. The embedded video is a long Mythical session; treat it as a tour of what the bag can become, not as a day-1 shopping list.
If you never see Mythical items, you are not missing a secret button. You are either not on Gamer/Mythical-enabler, not late enough, or not in the matchmaking tier that is allowed to keep those boards. Play the Batomon tier list you can actually roll in Bronze. Save the headline units for the run that earns them. Official roster chatter belongs on links and Steam news, not in a forced shop reroll.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why don’t I face Mythical teams in Gold?
Runs that held a Mythical are withheld unless Ranked Master, and some named units are Master-only in the pool. See how to play.
Is Gamer a beginner trainer?
No. The gift arrives on day 9. Use beginner trainers if you still drop before day 6.
Should I merge before Mad Scientist day 7?
Only if you accept that the unit becomes a random level-1 Legendary. Prefer cheap copies and multicast that can carry over.
Can duplicators copy every trinket?
No. Current notes limit Mini, Mega, and Ultra Duplicator to non-unique trinkets.
